Suzhou, China

Known among the Chinese as the Venice of the East, it is no wonder that Suzhou is a popular honeymoon destination.

With under 24 hours in this city we didn’t have long to explore. After a palaver at the hotel regarding checking in we set off to explore. Many of the traditional houses are stunning with ponds and rockeries in the Centre.

Suzhou is also known for its silk so the local markets were amazing with such delicate and intricate patterns on everything I wish I could buy more!

In the evening we had a VIP room at the karaoke which was hilarious with unlimited alcohol and a lovely way to chill with everyone as some people leave us in Shanghai.

A whistle stop tour but I’m so glad we visited!
